²¹ Then Peter went down to the men and said, “I am the one you are looking for. What is the reason you have come?” ²² They replied, “A centurion named Cornelius, who is greatly respected by the entire Jewish nation as an upright and Godfearing man, was directed by a holy angel to summon you to his house and to hear what you have to say.” ²³ So he invited them in and gave them lodging.
